The Spring Beauty Routine by Skin Type

The Spring Beauty Routine by Skin Type

Although each skin type is different, we tend to focus on maximum hydration in winter. It is indeed relevant to perfectly nourish our requesting epidermis during this season to protect it from the ravages of cold and wind. Without this, our skin undergoes intense dryness, and eventually discomfort and tightness that can reveal unsightly redness. Even if the temperatures are not yet quite at the highest, the arrival of spring is felt: the days are longer and the afternoons more mild. Then it’s time to set up the spring beauty routine for each skin type. Here are all the tips to apply for a radiant and healthy epidermis!

Taking Care of Combination Skin in the Spring

Taking care of combination skin is the challenge. They have the particularity of being dry in places, and greasy in others. They may even have acne on certain strategic areas such as the T-zone (forehead, nose and chin). It is then quite difficult to treat them especially when spring arrives. Here’s how to do it:

Skin care in the spring

When you wake up in the morning, thoroughly clean your skin with micellar water or soap-free washing bread to avoid stimulating sebum production. Then, it is essential to moisturize your skin, but it is better to opt for a fluid and light cream to avoid clogging your pores (non-comedogenic products). Your skin needs to breathe if you want to avoid small imperfections such as redness or pimples. To treat the T-zone, we recommend using a mattifying foundation before you start making up. This will prevent the area from shining before the end of the day.

Before going to bed, start by cleaning and removing make-up from your skin to free it from harmful particles (make-up, pollution, etc.). Again, use micellar water to do this and clean without adding fat to your skin. Then wash your face with a treatment product specifically designed for combination skin and focus on the T-zone. You can then refresh and moisturize your skin by burning some thermal water. End your beauty routine with a night moisturizer.

Regenerate dry skin after winter

Unlike winter, dry skins appreciate the return of sunny days and rising temperatures. It is therefore easier to treat them in the spring. However, certain steps must be taken to ensure the health and well-being of your skin. Here are our tips for regenerating dry skin after winter:

Treating Skin with Imperfections

In the morning, clean your skin with a cotton pad soaked in micellar water, then apply a serum to prepare your skin before hydration. Now apply a rich moisturizer to your entire face. You can now start making up by preferably using a foundation in the form of cream, balm or gel to complete the moisturizing action.

In the evening, carefully remove your makeup with make-up remover milk or oil. Then wash your face with warm water and special soap for dry skin. Spread the serum on your face again and apply organic vegetable oil such as sweet almond or avocado oil for example. The latter are suitable for dry skin without being too greasy, which is ideal for a transition between winter and spring.

Preparing the Spring Beauty of Oily Skin

Oily skin can lead us to a particularly rough life: it is not uncommon for the epidermis to once again shine, and this barely treated… To alleviate these inconveniences, a few actions are to be implemented at the arrival of spring, as follows:

Beware of misconceptions: It is not recommended to strip your skin to prevent sebum from appearing. This gesture is responsible for an excess of sebum production, because the epidermis will feel attacked and react accordingly. In fact, oily skin also lacks hydration. It should then be cleaned each morning with a gentle washing treatment: start with hot water and finish with fresh water to tighten the pores. Then opt for a moisturizer with a mattifying action (not nourishing, therefore rather light). This will rebalance the complex nature of your skin.

For the evening, no big changes: remove your face without fat, simply clean it with water and apply a light, non-comedogenic moisturizer to nourish your skin without choking it.

Perfect skin in spring

How should normal skin be treated in the spring?

What is “normal” skin? It is simply a epidermis that has no blemishes, dryness or excess sebum. Even if this leaves you dreaming, you should know that normal skins must be treated at the arrival of spring as during the other seasons of the year. Here are the steps:

In the morning, you don’t need to wash your face with plenty of water, just apply a toner to wake up the epidermis and put on your usual day cream. In the evening, we advise you to remove your make-up with a natural oil such as argan oil, then clean your skin with water and cleansing gel. Then run a cotton pad soaked in tonic lotion or thermal water and apply your night cream or serum.

Bonus: generic tips for all skin types

Regardless of your skin type, the spring beauty routine for each skin type should be done with quality skincare and make-up products, incorporating SPF and anti-ageing if needed. Finally, don’t skip the scrub: it helps rid your skin of dead skin and other everyday impurities.
