Above all, moisturize and repair your lips

It is necessary that your lips are constantly fresh and healthy to facilitate their makeup. For this you must apply a lip balm or a stick several times a day. Their mucous membrane will then be hydrated and protected and will thus preserve the balance of the hydrolipidic film. Moisturizing your lips will allow you to avoid chapping or dryness which sometimes affects the corners of the mouth in winter.

You can use restorative and soothing treatments made with shea butter. Shea butter has nourishing, protective, softening and regenerating properties . You should also regularly erase the scales and fine lines around your lips. This will smooth out your fine lines and draw a pencil line to make it easier to apply lipstick.

Lipstick or gloss?

You must match your lip makeup to your eye makeup. If the latter are heavily made up, your mouth should be subtly made up . If, on the other hand, your eyes are lightly made up, you can use a bright color on your lips. You'll never have a loaded makeup if you follow this rule.

You should also take into account the size of your lips . For example, if your lips are naturally wide, you don't need to apply lip gloss. The latter will only accentuate their line because of its plumping effect and its shiny texture. Conversely, shades that are too dark will not enhance very thin lips. The gloss is therefore one of your best allies if your lips are discreet. However, it is possible to make them a little wider for sublimate your lips and obtain a pulpy finish. Let's see how to do it.

The lip contour pencil

This lip pencil allows to correct or emphasize the line of the lips . It prevents the lipstick from spilling out and allows you to redraw lips that are not sufficiently marked or too thin. It can also be used to change the thickness and shape of the latter. You just need to draw the lips a little higher. Choose a lipstick color nude or bright and finish with a lip oil or gloss. This will increase the plump effect in your mouth.

The lip liner must be chosen according to the shade of its gloss or lipstick. To outline your lips, start from the center of the lip and gradually move towards the corners . Start on the right side then go to the left side. Then use a brush to blend the pencil towards the inside of the lips.

There are pencil shaped lipsticks that are used to outline the lip contour. They allow to color the lips and to define their shape while hydrating them .

Make up the lips according to their shape

All lips can wear makeup. However, the way to apply makeup should be based on their shape and curves.

Thin lips

If you have thin lips, you need to outline them to make your mouth more obvious . To achieve this, you just need to use a lip liner which will give you a precise line thanks to its lead. Next, draw the outline of your mouth just above your lip. This will give the illusion that your lip is thicker than it actually is .

You also have the option of using a lip liner that is a bit darker in color than your lips. The lip liner will add depth to the design and give the illusion that your mouth is fuller .

Full lips

If you have full lips and like their volume, you can make up your lips however you like. However, not all women like the plump look of their lips. If this is your case, avoid using colors darker than your natural skin tone for the contour of your lips. This will give a plump look, as the center of your mouth will be lighter. So choose a color that is true to your natural skin tone or simply don't trace the outline of your mouth.

If you want to mask the outline of your lips, do so with foundation and then powder. Finally, apply your lipstick.

Lips with drooping corners

To correct your corners if they tend to fall out, you will first need a lip liner . Start by drawing the outline of your lips. At the corners, avoid following the natural line. Rather go slightly above. If you want to brighten up your lips and erase the shadowy area, get yourself a light concealer. Use it to blur nasolabial folds (lines running down from the nose to the chin).

Irregular lips

If your lower lip is larger than your upper lip, you should make the latter less discreet . You will therefore need to accentuate the volume of the upper lip by optical effect. To do this, redraw the outline of the lip concerned, just above your natural outline, that is to say by slightly exceeding it with your pencil. Be careful to follow the contour of the lower lip. This will prevent a disharmony between the two lips .

Small tip, to enhance your lips, take the time to even out your complexion . Also remember to apply a little blush.
